New conscripts taken into service during the summer military draft were visited by high-level military officials, including Nagorno Karabakh’s Defence minister, Maj Gen Karen Abrahamyan, veterans of the war in the 1990s and local NGO representatives.
During the event, Maj Gen Abrahamyan spoke with the new conscripts and expressed that they will carry out with their the Armenian nation’s peaceful endeavours with honour. Subsequently, the conscripts were assigned there new bases where they will conduct their service through a raffle-type lottery.

This concludes the summer conscription process for this year, the new soldiers will serve for two years before completing their compulsory military service.
