22 October 2017 saw the death of Azeri conscript and native of Hayderabad village, Jabbar Zeynalov as a result of what was a “ceasefire violation” according to Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry, which apparently shows the incident took place on the Artsakh-Azeri line of contact. Authorities in Stepanakert have denied these claims, stating that Zeynalov died as a result of gunshot wounds from a fellow soldier.
