Authorities in Stepanakert, Nagorno Karabakh are currently extending the benefits for military officers by allocating newly constructed homes for families. In recent years, Stepanakert, as well as other cities in Nagorno Karabakh have seen the rise of new buildings allocated to military staff.
One of the biggest projects currently underway is a 10-story residential building in Stepanakert, which will have a total of 108 homes, 18 of which will have 3 rooms for larger families. The sizes of the different flats are of 86, 90 and 60 square metres depending on the type plan.
Construction started in October of 2016 with President Bako Sahakyan officially opening inauguration event. The building will be ready towards the second half of 2018. This comes amid a bigger to provide housing and facilities to all military programme by the Armenia’s Defence Ministry personnel, particularly the families of those fallen in combat or injured.
