Armenian serviceman Seyran Sargsyan was killed by Azeri fire in the southeastern region of Hadrut in Nagorno Karabakh on 28 September 2017. The incident occurred at around 15.00 hours during a shootout at a military outpost. Sargsyan, a native of Teghut village (Tavush province, Armenia) was 19-years-old, had started military service in July of 2016. Yerevan has condemned Baku’s acts in violation of the ceasefire.
Armenian military authorities are assessing the situation, it is possible he was killed by sniper fire. Sargsyan is the second Armenian serviceman killed this month. Despite the two deaths, reports from the front line show that this month was relatively calm compared to previous months.
