News on the event was published by the Azeri Defence Ministry, which highlighted that the drills included combat and communication (particularly English language communication during such events) coordination carried out by a motorised military unit.

Among the military equipment used during the exercises, the South African-produced armoured Marauder vehicle was tested out. Its worth mentioning that Azerbaijan received a series of these vehicles since 2009, with a renewed contract in July of this year.
