New Russian loan to Armenia for $100 million for 2018-2022

December 16 saw the signing of a new agreement between Yerevan and Moscow for a $100 million loan aimed at Armenia’s defence sector. The loan will be used between 2018-2022, with a 15-year reimbursement time with a 3% annual interest rate.

The agreement specifies that Yerevan can purchase military equipment directly from state manufacturers without the need for intermediaries. More details on the deal still to come.
