The Armenian Armed Forces lost three servicemen in the lapse of one week, between 31 August and 03 September. Two of these losses were due to traffic accidents, while one is currently being investigated, with initial reports of suicide.
On 31 August, officer D. Galstyan died instantly with several others injured in a car accident near the northern city of Vanadzor. On 02 September, Armenian serviceman Vanik Gevorgyan was found with a fatal gunshot wound in Nagorno Karabakh, initial reports suggest a suicide. The case is still under investigation. On 03 September, military authorities in Stepanakert announced the death of serviceman Vazgen Khachatryan, who was killed in an automobile accident in Nagorno Karabakh.
