The newly appointed head of the Nagorno Karabakh Defence Army (the equivalent to the ministry of defence), Maj Gen Karen Abrahamyan visited military outposts along the line of contact in what is the first official visit of its kind.
According to Maj Gen Abrahamyan, the aim of the visits was to inspect the combat-readiness of the troops and the comand-and-control system of military ranks among other things. He underlined that military officials and sub-officials have carried out all required assigned tasks, however there is always more to be done.
