On Saturday, the Chief-of-Staff of the Nagorno Karabakh Armed Forces, Maj Gen Karen Abrahamyan, received his counterpart from Armenia Lt Gen Artak Davtyan. Subsequently, the two paid visits to military bases and outposts along the line-of-contact in the centre and south of Nagorno Karabakh. Officially, the aim of the events were to consult and address issues related to co-operation and the organisation of troop formations within the framework of boosting combat-readiness.
The two military heads also visited military outposts in the central segment of the line-of-contact, possibly near Aghdam, where according to official sources Armenian engineering units are currently conducting renovation works on military positions. On the agenda was following up on the combat-readiness of troops on the line-of-contact within the framework of recent tactical-strategic reforms in the military structure.
