Last week, Nagorno Karabakh’s Defence minister, Maj Gej Karen Abrahamyan, visited a series of military bases and outposts along the northern segment of the line-of-contact. The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the the condition of new recruits, review the general well-being of the servicemen and evaluate other issues related to their everyday activities.
Emphasis was put on evaluating the ongoing situation, including combat-readiness and communication. Maj Gen Abrahamyan also visited an artillery unit in the area, following up on their training results during the first half of the year, stating that this second half of the year will be “equally effective”. No further details were provided on the visit, but according to the official statement, more training for artillery units may take place.
