Armenia’s Military Chief of Staff visits snipers and artillery units in southern Nagorno Karabakh

Official news got out of a visit from the Armenian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Lt Gen Artak Davtyan, visiting his counterpart, also the Defence minister of Nagorno Karabakh, Karen Abrahamyan. During the visit, which was conducted within the framework of military cooperation between Armenia and the de facto Nagorno Karabakh, it was announced that the two visited permanent military installations in the southern part of the de facto state.

The aim of the visit was to follow up on the operational side of troop’s combat-readiness, their well-being, with special stress added to the well-being of snipers deployed in the area.  Davtyan also visited an artillery unit during training exercises. Part of the visit included a visit to unspecified military outposts on the line-of-contact.

Additionally, the two military heads discussed further developments within the bilateral cooperation agreement for the upcoming months.
