A few days ago, the Azeri artillery units of the Armed Forces conducted a series of live-fire exercises with heavy-calibre artillery and the BM-30 Smerch defence system. It is worth mentioning that the artillery types used here are the largest calibre currently in service in the country, with the M-46 130mm and the two-wheeled 152mm Giantsit artillery guns being tested out.
These come just a few days after a previous artillery training drill on 13 April, which also included the use of the two latter artillery pieces.
